Does anyone have experience with NovaNet? Our school uses it for high school students who neeed credit recovery. What are your feelings about the program?
This is great for students to get familiar with college work. I think it allows the student the opportunity to see themselves achieving a college degree. I also like the idea of Nova assisting high school students.
Young adults are some of the most difficult students to reach because of the many stages of development they experience during high school. I think it is equally important for the students to make the connection between the relevance of education and future career selections.
I looked into the software offered by NovaNet and learned the software is developed, validated, and refined by research, NovaNET has been demonstrated to improve test results, reduce drop-out and at-risk rates, and increase student self-confidence.
The main reasons I like students using NovaNet is that it reaches struggling students and helps them recover lost credits, increases graduation rates and reduces dropout rates, challenges advanced students who want to move ahead, prepares students for state and standardized tests, and provides individualized learning at a distance.
